7 Cyber Attacks that Prove That You May Be at Risk of Being Hacked and How You Can Protect Yourself Fast.
The content of this write up may possibly be scary but that is not what it’s meant for. Instead, it is to make you aware of what is going on in the cyber world today and prepare you to be more security conscious.
This concerns you as long as you use the computer, the internet, you have a website or you have a bank account. People say what you don’t know doesn’t kill you, but I totally disagree with that. I believe ignorance is the worst enemy of man and being a victim of Cyber Crime can be devastating.

During the election in march 2015, the website of the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was hacked into by a group that paraded itself as Nigerian Cyber Army. The fact that this group was able to breach the security protocols of such a sensitive website is both a remarkable feat and a huge wake up call for Nigerian businesses and organisations handling sensitive data.

Internet Users are Becoming More Vulnerable to Cyber Attacks Than Before.
These threats are not limited to organizations. For instance, No matter how strong your password is, scammers are always trying to find new ways to get your personal information.

Social Media Hacking: Social Media accounts can also be hacked into. There have been reports by Facebook users concerning an intrusion where everything was taken over; the hacker changed everything from password to photos and friends.
Some of these social hackers also post offensive images and text using your social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.

See details here: http://aplus.com/a/webcam-short-film-spying-hacking
A Norton Security Resource also confirms that hackers can be watching you through your computer webcam without you knowing it. Here is a quote from the resource “Webcams may let you stay in touch with friends and family, but they also pose risks of people hacking into them and spying on you” Read more here http://us.norton.com/yoursecurityresource/detail.jsp?aid=webcam_hacking
An FBI Report also Mentioned the Arrest of A Webcam Hacker
The hacker knew every move the unsuspecting victim made. He controlled her computer webcam and microphone. He could see her in her bedroom, hear her conversations, knew every keystroke she made online. And he threatened to expose her secrets unless she bowed to his demands.
The big question I would ask is what of those cyber attacks that were not reported online? What of victims of cyber crime who have been hacked as you are reading this text and they have no clue that something has happened?
I think this menace is best prevented than cured.
